About Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Management Studies & Research College

During the early sixties, there was a large requirement of Managers at the top and middle level to manage the industry, Sugar Mills, Spinning Mills, Textile Mills and other business houses. A dearth of such trained personnel began to be felt in Western Maharashtra and became fairly acute in early seventies. The Institutes providing Management education were very few and were located only in bigger cities like Pune and Mumbai. Initially our Institute was established for conducting MBA Programme only. Subsequently the Institute sought affiliation from the Shivaji University, Kolhapur, for some other Post graduate course in Commerce and Management.
