About Ihm Kolkata
Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition in Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta) works under the sponsorship of Ministry of Tourism - Government of India. It is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) for all its courses and is governed by a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. IHM Kolkata, established in 1963, provides education in B. Sc degree course in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, which is jointly awarded by National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, New Delhi and Indira Gandhi Open University, New Delhi. Apart from undergraduate, three-year degree programme, the institute also offers post graduate diploma course in Accommodation Operation Management and craftsmanship programme in Food and Beverage Service and Food Production. The alumni of the institute are working with some of the reputed organizations in the field of hospitality.
