About CENTRE FOR GEO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY College
Centre for Geo-Information Technology(CGIT), formerly known as Mapping Unit, established as a wing of Socio Economic Unit Foundation(SEUF) is an independent Research and development institute in the fields related to Geo-information. The centre’s prime objective is to carryout inter and multidisciplinary research and studies on issues related to Geo-information. It is this broad base that makes CGI unique in the real, of Geoinformation technology especially in Kerala. The center is working in association with various frontline organization and R&D institutes bth at Govt. and NGO sector. SEUF, which is parent institute of CGIT, has a good networking with local self government institutes of Kerala. The center was established in 1998 and has completed a number of Mapping projects for various national, international and local bodies.
