About B.E Mining Engineering course

It is a division of engineering in which the students learn about the techniques involved in extracting mineral ores from the natural environment. The minerals include metallic and non-metallic ores and solid fuels. The mining techniques involve drilling, blasting, processing, production, extraction, marketing, etc. Apart from these techniques, the main task of mining engineer is to check that the project on which they are working is environmentally safe and that they are not destroying the natural environment.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing B.E Mining Engineering is a pass degree in Higher Secondary Examination or 10+2 examination in Science stream with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized college or university.
  2. For IIT students, it is mandatory to qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (J.E.E).
