Ever since the industrial revolution in the 19th century, mankind has progressed a lot in every field. But all this progress has come at a high price. The mining activities, farming, housing, manufacturing and the numerous industries have taken their toll on the environment. These activities, though beneficial for us, have resulted in tremendous loss to the environment, in terms of loss of forest cover, pollution and global warming. As an environmental engineer you will be devising strategies and measures to reduce the impact on environment due to the above activities. Environmental engineering is a noble profession and the way our environment is getting degraded, it’s soon going to be much in demand too.
