A multi-disciplinary field that is an amalgamation of remote sensing, GPS, digital photogrammetry, GIS, IT, data interpretation, digital cartography and digital image processing provides you with the necessary knowledge and hands-on training on the above mentioned techniques and technologies. The program familiarizes you with the latest trends in geoinformatics and its numerous applications in managing the natural resources. Geoinformatics has been a boon to the world, as it has played a very effective role in say, waste water management, disaster management, forestry and other man-made and natural environmental issues. It’s by collecting spatial and non-spatial data that a person dealing in geoinformatics is able to acquire, analyze, manage and disseminate the concerned information.
Some of the topics that are taught are; ecosystem studies, remote sensing fundamentals, urban environment management, field techniques, fundamentals of geoinformatics, research methodology, digital data processing and a few more.
