The dancing profession is developing and changing with times. Students get trained in contemporary dance, artistic creation and performances. The course develops professional potential in students and broadens the understanding of dance history for exhibiting their talents. The program focuses on teaching skills in dance, science, movement, health education and performance. Extensive practical experiences are provided to students with use of digital literary to source, analyze and disseminate information. Students equip with strong communication skills using interpersonal physical skills and written texts. The course fosters choreographic creations and performances to suit the audiences. Adequate knowledge on critical thinking and problem solving abilities are emphasized for giving dance performances. The students are trained to communicate ideas and concepts through dance to face challenges for diverse social and cultural communities.
The study covers the areas of dance history and composition, health understanding, skill acquisition, production, popular styles, human anatomy, physiology, classical styles, studio and technology, exercises and social development, building professional relationships, promotion, performance, event and project management etc. The students are exposed to modern and contemporary; dance and ballet forms. Teaching modules includes lectures, tutorials, dance classes, practice sessions, workshops, seminars and individual tuition.
