M.Tech is abbreviation of Masters in Technology which is a post graduate course in the technical field. It has many specializations and Neural Networks is one of them. Neural Network is a term we use for neural network our brain has for its functioning. The neuron makes a circuit kind of thing in our brain to propagate the signals. These are natural/biological neural networks but now days; this term also refers to the artificial network of neurons. This artificial network has artificial neurons and nervous nodes in it. These networks are used for study purpose where students try to understand the modeling of neurons, their applications, adaptive control, etc.
Candidates having Biology or Biotechnology during their graduation are eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying marks may vary from institute to institute and this must be checked before submitting the filled application form.
It includes approaching the administrative office of selected institute and after reading the prospectus thoroughly, submission of filled application form before its due date. Some institute take admission directly on merit basis where as some institutes conduct their own entrance examinations. Admission in reputed institutes can be done through a valid GATE scores.
The duration is 2 years in regular mode. It can be 4 years or 3 years in integrated course or Diploma holders respectively. Each year is divided into 2 semesters, each having 6 months duration. Each semester ends with its final examinations and candidates need to clear each semester separately.

M.Tech is a professional course and candidates performing well in the same get good jobs easily. If a candidate wants to pursue higher studies, he or she can enroll for PhD in Neural Networks. PhD is a research based Doctorate degree where a candidate gets an opportunity to conduct research on any of the topic of his/ her interest related to his/her specialization.
M.Tech is a combination of Theoretical studies and live projects. Candidates initially learn about the course, available literature, etc and understand the concept. This will help them in performing live projects related to it. Candidates learn about artificial neural networks, their application in mechanical learning of brain like for speech, image segmentation, recognition of object, motion and many more. The course also includes study about basic algorithms, Robust GRBF Static Neurocontroller, Control of Robot Manipulators, Reinforced Two-Step-Ahead Weight Adjustment Technique, etc.
