The main aim of the above course is to bring in the benefits of education to the rural hinterland and help in the development of agriculture and the rural poor. It aims to utilise the services of science and technology in developing farming and increase agricultural production that will ultimately be effective in eliminating poverty from our villages. Agricultural techniques practiced in the country are still very traditional. The sector is in dire need of modern technology and modern means of farming for improving the yield and to see that farmers are not left at the mercy of nature. It’s through transfer of knowledge and skills that we can help develop agriculture, dairy farming, poultry and piggery farming in the villages.
Eligibility and course duration
Pass in 10+2 with physics, chemistry and biology/mathematics from a recognized board. Some colleges may conduct an entrance test.
Duration of the course is 3 years.
