Course Description of Doctor of Philosophy in Physics

The Ph.D Course in physics is designed to explain students the theories and concepts behind phenomena, observations and experiences. The program helps student to pursue understanding the concepts in physics and prepares them for scientific researchers. The course helps students build skills in creating and interpretation of latest knowledge to become independent learners. Training aims at providing abilities to visualize, design and apply in relevant areas. The program emphasis on publication of original research work with systematic acquisition for knowledge. Course helps students to, enhance their logical and analytical, computer skills and transfer them to professional practice.The study subjects covers energy concepts, optics, spectroscopy, laser, prism, matter, semiconductors, molecular dynamics, chromo -dynamics, quantum optics, thermo dynamics, spectroscopy, laser experiments and theory, microwave devices, super lattices thermodynamics, applied physics.

Curriculum focus on in-depth training in specialized fields. The curriculum includes theoretical lectures, practical demonstrations.
