The advanced M.Tech course in Agricultural Farm Machinery and Power Engineering provides ground knowledge in developing automation of farm machinery and operations. Agricultural Engineering plays a vital role in production of agricultural crops and thus increasing the income sources for farmers. Students equip with practical knowledge for implementing efficient farm machinery in agricultural fields.The program is of two year duration. Students are trained in theoretical and practical aspects of tractor systems, computer software and instrumentation. The curriculum covers theoretical lectures. practical -hands on experience, field/agricultural farms visits, seminars, group discussions, designing models of agricultural machinery, paper presentation and assessments. Students are trained in enhancing skills in logical thinking, analytical abilities, creative skills for designing and developing agricultural implements or machinery.
Students who have completed B.E/Tech in Agricultural engineering from a recognized university are eligible for the course. Admission is through test and interview. Student should possess valid GATE score.
