Animal husbandry is a very interesting field. You get to deal with animals mainly domestic and breed them by practicing selective breeding process to promote desirable traits in the livestock. The aim of the course is to equip you with extensive knowledge in the field of animal husbandry. Most of these courses are offered by the agricultural institutes spread across the country. In these courses you will be learning how to manage and run an animal farm, a dairy farm, managing livestock, poultry farms and how to go for selective breeding of animals. In this field you will have to learn how to prepare meals for the animals and feed them, taking care of their health and providing them with medicines, checking their living area and so on. Among the topics that are mostly part of such syllabus are biochemistry, physiology, genetics, reproductive biology, molecular genetics, microbiology, animal production, breeding, animal nutrition, animal health, aquaculture, fisheries, food safety, quality and so on.
