Students get equipped with mental health advanced training in theories, model and techniques for counselling with individuals, families and related members. The mental illness may cause suffering or poor ability to function properly in life. The program covers areas of learning in psychological services, social services, medical, diagnostic services, special education, recreation, therapies, speech, occupational, employment services. Students are also given instruction in principles and practices with emphasis on psychiatric rehabilitation, diagnosis of mental disorders, evidence based treatment, psycho-social aspects of disability counselling skills. Training also includes field visits, research activities, internships case studies, hands on experience, assessments and examination.
