M.Tech or Master of Technology is a post graduation course and the specialization of Computational Engineering and Networking is a multidisciplinary course which includes study about numerical analysis, applied mathematics, computer science and their applications in various technologies.
The course provides expertise to candidates in mathematical modeling, software implementation, numerical analysis, visualization and validation of results, algorithm development, and many more.
The course has main role in many scientific discovery processes and engineering designing. There are lots of projects available in the field related to parallel Partial Differential Equation solver, analysis platform for flow visualization and fluid dynamics, reliable truss topology optimizer, etc.
Candidates holding bachelors degree in the field of technology like B.E. or B.Tech are eligible for this course. The course must be pursued from some recognized institutes and should have secured at least 60% marks as an aggregate to be eligible for this course.
Interested candidates need to submit the filled application form before last date. It should be enclosed with all the other required documents. Most of reputed institutes conduct their entrance test for admissions. A national level entrance test- GATE is also considered by some institute for short listing the candidates.
The duration for this course is 2 regular years. These 2 years are divided into 2 semesters; each having 6 months long duration. The syllabus of the course is also divided into 4 parts accordingly.
