There are so many students who study while working in a company. The work pressure is so much for them that they cannot focus on the normal course of study. The name of this course is Bachelor of Preparatory Programme or BPP. This is a 2 year long course. This is also known as a bridge course in between class 10 and graduation. It is considered to be equivalent to higher secondary.

Higher Studies

  1. As already mentioned, this course is offered by the government of India through one of the leading distance education institutes in various states of India. So this course is considered to be equivalent to higher secondary level of any state or board. Therefore, after passing this course, you can opt for completing graduation. Most students get enrolled in English honors or History honors or Political Science honors. There are branches too, where you can think of completing graduation like BBA or Bachelor's in Business Management. Some universities conduct an admission test to select the candidates for the graduation course. If you pass the entrance test with minimum 50% marks, then you will be selected for the undergraduate course of your choice of stream.
  2. After completing a B.A. honors or Bachelor's in Arts, you can think of studying M.A. or Master's in Arts in the same genre as that of your graduation. In case of the Master's degree too, you must clear the corresponding entrance examination. If you fail in the entrance test conducted by the university, then you cannot study M.A. in the subject of your choice.

Job prospects

  1. Since this course is equivalent to the higher secondary course offered by any state level board, you can opt for jobs equivalent to higher secondary pass outs. If you clear the banking examination for clerical posts, you will be posted in any nationalized or privatized bank as an office clerk.
  2. Other that this, you can opt for call center or BPO related jobs.
