Candidates who have qualified their 12th examinations with at least 50% marks from a recognized board are eligible for this course. Some institutes may not have any restriction of qualifying marks and may accept all 12th passed candidates.

They can pursue regular bachelor degree in tourism related subjects like Bachelor of Tourism Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Travel and tourism, etc. After that, post graduation can also be pursued in same of related field. Management courses are again a good option for these candidates.
The course includes study about different regional languages, tourism development, Indian culture, etc. Candidates also learn about ecology, environment and management in tourism.
These candidates can work in hotels, restaurants, airlines, railways, zoos, national parks, historical places, etc. They can become Immigration consultant, reservations executive, tour operator, ticketing assistant, tourist guide, tourism department employee, information Assistant, etc depending upon their qualification.
