After completion of this course, if the interest persist, candidates are advised to pursue higher qualification to have better job options. It can be post graduate diploma, regular graduation and post graduation degree or other short term courses in related subjects like hair dressings, wig making, etc.
This course requires candidates who have done 10th at least. Candidates having higher qualification like 12th or so can also pursue this course as per their interest. There is not restriction in terms of age, marks in 10th or subject studies.
But candidates having prior experience in same field, knowledge about the field and having good grip over verbal English are preferred.
Admission are direct for most of the institutes. Candidates just need to buy the forms from the offices of selected institutes and submit the fully filled one before last date. These application forms should be enclosed with all other required documents like domicile certificate, previous qualification certificates, caste certificate, etc.
The duration for this course is 1 year and it does not vary for most of the cases as it has to be attended in regular mode only.
The course is a combined form of costume and beauty care. These two aspects are interdependent and costume is dependent upon the make up one has. So, these candidates learn about costume designing which includes designing ideas, drafting, pattern making, embroidery, sewing, garment construction, etc in detail. Some part of finishing techniques and fashion portfolio is also included in the course.
In part of beauty care, candidates learn about different beauty care techniques specific for skin, hairs, nails, eyes, etc.
They can work in production houses, beauty parlors, spa firms, etc. textile firms, garment manufacturing units, etc are also open for them.
