M.D. is a Doctor of Medicine and it is considered as a Post graduate level course in the field of medicine. It is available is all kind of specializations like homeopathy, allopathic and Ayurvedic. M.D in Ayurved Vachaspati is related to Ayurveda and deals with study about Critical theoretical studies related to intensive clinical care and practical trainings in Ayurveda. Candidates learn about counseling, physical ad mental therapies, naturopathic treatments, healthcare departments and their management, etc in detail. Even professionals in this field are also pursing this course to get motivated and get proper training to develop their knowledge.
Candidates who have done their Graduation in Ayurveda or BAMS are eligible for this course. The course must be pursued from a recognized college and have secured at least 60% marks as aggregate.

Other important topics of the course are Dravya Guna, Sharir Rachana, Panchakarma, Rasa Shastra, Swastha Vritta, Maulik Siddhanta, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra and Sharir Kriya.
Apart from theoretical readings, candidates get practical sessions and hands in experience of handling patients. This enables them to gain confidence in working.
