Candidates who have completed their 12th standard in Science stream from a reputed institute and recognized board are eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying marks should be at least 50% as aggregate but it may vary from one institute to another and need to be checked before filling the application form. The age criterion is also need to be checked with it.
Admissions can be direct, through merit list (candidates get short listed depending upon their marks secured in 12th standard) and some reputed institutes may conduct entrance examinations or interview sessions to validate the knowledge of candidates. In this case, the final selection will be based on performance of candidates in test and interview.
The duration for this course is 2 regular years.

Diploma in Pharmacy and compounding is considered as a professional course and provides good job options after completion. If a candidate still wants to continue his or her studies, the options are undergraduate degree in Pharmacy (B Pharmacy), M.Pharm, Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy), etc.
This course has compiled the subjects of Pharmacy in Ayurveda as well as Compounding. It teaches about Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy), Dravyaguna Vigyan, Sharir Rachana, Prathmik Upachar Evam Rugna Paricharya, etc during initial phase of the course. Then candidates also learn about Ayurved Parichay including roga nidan Evam Chikitsa, Kriya Shaarir, Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics including Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, Development of Ayrvediya Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana and many more such topics.
The compounding part of course includes study about various drugs and their applications.
