Work of a furnace operator

In industrial manufacturing, furnaces are used for a variety of materials. Heating materials such as metal and plastic makes them more soft and flexible when heated to a certain temperature which is then easier to give them any shape. A furnace operator has to make sure that the furnace maintains proper temperature. If the material gets too hot, then it may ruin the product and if it isn’t hot enough, the production has to be slowed down till it gets reheated. As a furnace operator, candidates have to find out whether the temperature is just right by measuring temperature readings.
