The course starts with topics like construction planning, scheduling, and management, life cycle costing of infrastructure, contracts, administration and arbitration, irrigation water distribution systems, etc. Then candidates learn about safety management in constructions, methods of construction and management of equipment, environment and energy management, advanced concrete technology, etc through this course. Some seminars, field trips, and projects are an important part of this course. The course also has a list of elective subjects and candidates need to choose among them as per their interest.
The main employment areas for these candidates are healthcare sector, environmental organizations, construction and property companies, transportation and communication infrastructure sectors, etc. They can work as a senior manager, resident construction engineer, site engineer, tunnel construction engineer, regional manager, etc as per their interest.
