Master of Engineering or M.E. is a Postgraduate course in the field of technology. There are different subjects available in this course and Electronic Design and Technology is one among them. It is related to Electronics and communication domain of engineering. Candidates study mathematics, electrical engineering fundamental, basic science, etc. It also includes hands-on lab practical, hardware and software co-designing, modern software and some part of information technology to keep their candidates up to date.

Candidate holding M.Sc. degree in Physics, instrumentation or electronics is also allowed to pursue this course by some institutes.

Most of the institutes take admissions on the basis of performance in entrance test. These entrance tests can be of a national level like GATE, can be of state level and even some institute conduct their own entrance tests.

The duration of this course is 2 years just like any other master’s level degree course. These 2 years are divided into 4 semesters and the syllabus is also divided into 4 parts accordingly.

After completion of this Master level engineering course, the available option for those who are willing to pursue higher studies is Ph.D. in the same or similar subject. It is a Research-based doctorate level course which allows you to conduct your own research on the topic of your interest after approval from your supervisor.
