Admissions are mostly offered through entrance tests. Interested candidates need to submit their application forms for selected institutes and then appear in the entrance examinations with full preparation. Candidates performing well get shortlisted for the admissions. Some institutes may also conduct interviews sessions for further screening of candidates.

Candidates interested in pursuing higher studies can go for Ph.D. in Neuroimaging and interventional radiology, M.Tech in Radio frequency communication or any other related course.
The course starts with basics like Radiation detection and measurement, fluoroscopy, Ultrasonography, Physics related to radiation, production of Radiations including X-Rays and other related topics.
Then candidates learn about the Musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, Urogenital Tract, CNS (central nervous System) including Spine, Endocrine system, and respiratory system.
The course has also included topics related to imaging of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Clinically Applied Radio-Nuclide Imaging, ENT, Teeth, Eyes, Breast and other soft tissues of the body.
These candidates can become Radiologic Technologist, X-Ray technician, Ultrasound Technician, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Radiologist assistant, etc as per their expertise and interest. They can join Hospitals, Military Services, Government and Private Hospitals, Diagnostic Imaging Centers, Research centers and medical colleges very easily.
