Diploma in General Electronics is an engineering course which is technical in nature. It deals with non-linear and active electronic components like Semiconductor devices, electron tubes, transistors, integrated circuits, etc. Candidates learn about analog electronics, consumer electronics, digital electronics, power electronics, embedded systems, etc through this course. It also focuses on the study of the implementation of applications, various principles of electronics, algorithms, radio engineering, telecommunications, electric power control and many other related topics.
It is a technical course hence candidates need to attend the same I regular manner and is not available through correspondence.

It is available after 10th and 12th. Candidates who have completed their 10th board examinations or 12th board examinations from a registered institute and have secured valid scores are eligible for this course.

After completion of this course, interested candidates can pursue Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, Bachelor of Technology in Electronics, etc. Other related specializations like Bioelectronics, Marine Electronics, etc can also be pursued.
After graduation, Post Graduation is again available and candidates can enroll for M.E. or M.Tech in same or related subjects.
Those having interest in research can pursue Ph.D. in Electronics after Master’s degree. This will lead them to the career in the scientific field.
