Additional details on the course
One important thing is that, not only must you pass B.Sc. honors in this subject, you must also do it with minimum 60% to get a chance to sit in the admission test. Now, you must clear or pass in the entrance examination held by the university that you want to get admission in. This examination does not have a common pattern. Some take it on 100 marks. Elsewhere you might have to sit for a 300 marks test divided into 3 papers. The questions are mostly short answer type or multiple choice type. Most of the questions have negative marking. You must have thorough knowledge of your major subject, that is, computer science and bits about electronics also.
Let me describe the 2 major aspects of M.Sc. in computer science which is not present in B.Sc. in computer science.
- Firstly, you can take up subjects of specialization in M.Sc. second year. You need to choose the subjects really carefully. You can join an IT sector based on your specialization subjects. These subjects should be the ones which are booming currently and which have a high professional approach.
- Next you need to do a project in your second year. This project if chosen wisely can be your stepping stone of success in the software or hardware industry. If you clear the aptitude test and make it in the interview, then you just need to tell the interviewers of your unconventional project that you have done in your masters. If they are convinced the job will be yours.
