Eligibility Criteria

  1. You can study this course in a regular or distance institute or a regular institute. If you wish to study this course from a distance institute then you just have to complete your graduation under any UGC or AICTE approved university. There is no restriction regarding the discipline to be pursued in the graduation, in case of a disturbance education institute. You can even study this course after completing any related discipline in engineering sciences.
  2. If you wish to study this course from a regular institute, then it is required that you complete your graduation in a related field like Geology, or Oceanography, or Marine Biology, etc.
  3. Any student who applies for this course must score at least 55% in their graduation. In case of distance education institutes, sometimes the marks cutoff is cut down to 50%.


Job Prospects

  1. You can become a resource planner. You will have to check if the resources are available for a particular job designated. You will have to allocate rare resources as per priority, cost and other parameters.
  2. You can become an assistant regional administrator. You will assist the regional administrator in looking after the administrative procedure for coastal areas. You will have to check whether the administration is working as per legal rules. After a few years, you will be promoted as regional administrator.
  3. After around 10 years of experience, you can become an operations manager. You will have to learn computer software and predict operational procedure as per the evaluations done on this software.
