In this branch of civil engineering you will be learning how to plan, design and construct roads, flyovers, bridges and tunnels for the safe and smooth transportation of men and material. Other than these basics in highway engineering you will be taught how to take into account future growth in traffic while planning roads, highway intersections and their designs, geometric design, structural design of pavement, pavement materials, thickness and their maintenance.
