Master of Science or M.Sc. is considered as a post-graduation level degree course in science stream. It is available in all the science related subjects and E- Media and Communication is one among them. E- Media and Communication belong to media and event management stream. The field of E- Media or electronic media teaches about different types of electric equipment and their applications/ aspects. E- Media and Communication involve different electronics and electromechanical energy to enable the end user or audience for accessing the content.

Being technical in nature, this course is not available through correspondence but some institutes offer it in part-time mode to support the professionals.
The duration of this course is 2 years which is equivalent to 4 semesters. Each semester has 6 months time span.
Candidates holding the graduation degree in same or related subject from any of the reputed institutes of India or aboard are eligible for this course. They must have secured at least 50% marks for higher and should have valid age to get admissions. The minimum age criteria vary from one institute to another so it is better o check the same from the selected institute for submitting their applications.
Admission procedure varies depending upon the institute you select for enrollment. Some institutes offer direct admissions against the submission of your application whereas some institutes shortlist the candidates on merit basis. Some recognized and reputed institutes conduct entrance tests and interview sessions to shortlist the deserving candidates on the basis of their performance in the same.
Further Study options
After completion of this course, candidates can pursue M.Phil and then Ph.D. in the same subject or related subject. These are research-based course during which candidates can chance to learn through conducting experiments.
The course starts with an introduction to electronic media, writing for the same, media, society, culture, communication, basic production techniques, etc. Then the candidates learn about graphics, animation, multimedia, cinematography, television and development, electronic media and communication management, production of news programs and media research.
Details of sound and recording, advertising, marketing and corporate communications are also included in the course.
These candidates are ideal for working in the film industry, news channels, radio stations, TV channels, etc.
