About Diploma in Child Health Course
Diploma in Child Health DCH is a three year undergraduate course which provide training in Pediatrics and Neonatology. This course produce specialists to provide basic and speciality care to infants, children, adolescents and new born children.
Minimum eligibility required to apply for admission to the Diploma in Child Health DCH course is to complete 10+2/ Intermediate/ Higher Secondary level with science and biology subject from a recognized educational board.
Admission procedure may differ from one college to another. Most of the colleges offer admission to the Diploma in Child Health course, based on candidate's performance in the relevant entrance examination, often followed by personal interview. Some reputed institutes may conduct their own entrance examinations to offer admission. And few institutes may offer direct admission based on merit obtained at intermediate level.

Some of the subjects covered in the Diploma in Child Health DCH are ethics in pediatrics and child care, clinical epidemiology, nutrition, emergency pediatric services, metabolic diseases, psychological behavioral manifestations disorders, infectious diseases, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, central and peripheral nervous system, preventive pediatrics, social pediatrics, rheumatic diseases and connective tissue disorder of childhood, hematology and neoplastic diseases, congenital and acquired disorders of eye, ear, nose, throat, bones, joints and miscellaneous diseases.
Duration of the Diploma in Child Health DCH course is 3 years, divided into 6 semesters means 2 semesters per years. And each year lasts for 6 months.
