About M.Tech Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning course
Master of Technology in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning is a 2 years postgraduate mechanical engineering course which is aimed to meet the industrial requirements by producing the highly skilled professionals. It includes study of concepts like designing, developing, manufacturing, simulating, maintaining, servicing and repairing of industrial and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Minimum eligibility required to apply for admission to the M.Tech Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning course is to qualify Bachelor's degree (B.E/ B.Tech) or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized university with minimum aggregate score of 50%.
Admission procedure may differ from one institute to another. Most of the college offer admission to the M.Tech Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning course based on candidate's performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) entrance examination. Some college consider only the merit obtained at graduation level to offer admission.

Duration of the M.Tech Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning course is 2 years. These 2 years are divided into 4 semesters. First and second semesters consists of theory subjects and laboratories. Third semester consists of theory and project work and fourth semester is dedicated to project work only. And this project work will be carried out in areas such as air conditioners, automobile air conditioners, alternative refrigerants, bottle coolers etc.
