M.Sc, Chemical Oceanography is a postgraduate course of duration 2 years. This course is offered as a specialisation course in chemical sciences. The candidates who cleared their B.Sc with Chemistry as one of the subjects are eligible for applying for this course. The minimum qualifying mark is 55%. There will be reservations to SC/ST/BC and other categories as per the UGC norms. The percentage required for such reserved categories is 50%. The admission will be on the basis of the candidate's performance in the entrance test. The first of this course will dedicate to the general aspects of various chemistry subject and Oceanography. The second year of the course will deal with the chemical oceanography and its applications and usefulness to our life. In this course, more importance will be given to advanced topics in oceanography linked with chemistry. This is a multidisciplinary course with more focus on chemistry related to oceans.
