Eligibility Criteria

  1. The students who wish to study this M.Phil course need to complete their master’s degree first. The master’s degree could be done in disciplines like Biology, Life science, Biomechanics, Neuroscience, Biotechnology, and other such related fields.
  2. The students must obtain minimum 60% in the master’s course. Sometimes some institutes give a relaxation of 5% for the students in reserved category. This will be applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC students.
  3. Generally all M.Phil institutes conduct an entrance examination to shortlist the final students who will study this course. If you are aiming for IISc Bengaluru or IIT Mumbai or NIMHANS, then you must clear the entrance test and a few rounds of interview conducted by these institutes. The entrance test generally consists of 100 questions, each being of multiple choice type.

  1. If you are studying from IISc Bengaluru or IIT Mumbai, then you can apply for the posts of project linked persons over there. These institutes offer a number of research projects on various issues. You can perform research and get paid for it.
