This course shapes the career for people who are intrigued about being an architect. The ability to draw and design architectures meticulously is an inherent requirement of this course. For people who possess the ability of drawing the blueprint of an advance technology building or even an entire university this diploma course is very advantageous. Once you pass this course, you can join government irrigation offices or government corporation offices or public works department.
- To be eligible to apply in a diploma course in Architectural Assistantship , you must have either of the two basic qualifications, namely-a) higher secondary degree with science stream or, b) degree in 10th standard. For students with 10th standard qualification, the restriction on streams do not apply.
- The minimum cut-off marks to apply in this course is 55% in 10th standard or 12th standard.

When you apply in this course your age must be above 15 years and below 25 years.. You will be a professional architect once you pass this course. An architect doesn’t only draw the plan of a building but also carries out that plan successfully with the correct mixture of raw materials and manpower. So you will have to learn about raw materials like rock, lime, bricks, etc. and about human resource optimization in this course. This is a 3 year long course and gives you a proper taste of field work in these three years.
Further studies after completion of this course
Already you will be having the basic and advance knowledge of architecture, when you pass out from this course. You will be dealing with real life project works on various innovative and revival architectures. What you could add to this is the practical knowledge of field works obtained from B.Tech course civil engineering. After you complete B.Tech, if you want then you could further carry on with M.Tech in civil engineering and opt for jobs abroad.
You can join as an intern or a junior engineer in any government sector. If you complete B.Tech in civil engineering you can become a civil engineer in government aided projects. You can also join initially as an architectural assistant in a company. With years of experience you can become senior architectural assistant in the same place. You could also become a project engineer or a field draughtsman in Government Corporation or in PWDs.
