Eligibility Criteria

  • The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing M.D.S course is a pass in B.D.S (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India.
  • Candidate not possessing a required dental qualification should first secure the prior approval of his / her qualification by the Dental Council of India before he / she can be admitted to the M.D.S course.
  • The selection of students to M.D.S degree is based on their merit. To determine the merit, AICET (All India Common Entrance Test) is conducted by various dental colleges or by the agency specified by the UGC (University Grants Commission), New Delhi.
  • The minimum age limit to pursue this course is 21 years.
  • A candidate should be physically fit to undergo M.D.S degree and should not suffer from any contagious disease.

The duration of M.D.S course is 3 years.
