Course Description


The Master of Philosophy degree is a two year postgraduate course consisting of four semesters. The course of study includes philosophy and methods in social science and approaches, concepts and methods of political analysis ( political theory). The candidates have to submit dissertation at the end of the course and prepare for viva voce. The program focuses the students to lectures, conferences, seminars, debates, workshops, research group activities and film clubs.

Eligibility Criteria for the Course


The candidate must have passed Master's degree in political science with 55% from a recognized university. Admission to the course is through entrance examination and personal interview.The candidates who have good oral and writing skills are suitable for the course. The students should be aware of current political state in the country and also be aware of the political, economic, cultural and social issues prevalent in the society.
