M.A. is Masters in Arts and M.A. in Philosophy is a course which gives opportunity to study five different aspects in one time. These five aspects are aesthetics, ethics, metaphysics, logic and epistemology.
Candidates learn about dialogues and idioms, moral implications of human actions on society, environmental philosophy, etc. The course also includes various sections like Greek philosophy, Value theory, Modern philosophy, etc.
The course trains its candidates for mental discipline, logical thinking, their ability for analysis and synthesis and gives an idea about critical reflection on political and social realities.
All graduates with specialization in Arts are eligible for this course. Candidates who have studies Philosophy during gradation are preferred for some good institutes. After completion of M.A. - a post graduate degree, interested candidates can pursue M.Phil in Philosophy programs and then the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Both of these programmes are basically research based courses which are intended to give in depth knowledge of their selected topic of interested.
