The study imparts required skills to tackle the problems of health prevalent in the community. The main objective of the course is to enhance public health managerial work force in the country .The curriculum includes bio-statistics, demography, epidemiology, management of public health, promotion, health education, resources and finance management, health legislation, equity, health policy and management. Candidates must participate in seminars, journal clubs, group discussions, case studies etc. Varied learning techniques would be taught to students. The program is devised to enable candidates participate actively in seminars, journal clubs, group discussions, case studies, etc. they need to take part in field trips and projects, practical’s, and visit to public health interests. Adequate hands on experience would be given in handling the computers. Training would be given to students to prepare, supervise and execute health programs, implement laws and prepare for disasters. They learn to identify environmental threats, measures to tackle them and improve the health condition with preventive strategies for diseases. The program trains them to analyse, evaluate the care practices and control environmental threats to human health.
