Further study options
After pursuing B.Ed, candidates can go for M.Ed. which is a masters degree with same specialization. Other short courses related to teaching can be beneficial to have better career in future. Candidates can also go physical training courses which will give additional dimension to Yoga skills.
Research based course like M.Phil and PhD can also be pursued in later stage of life.
The duration varies from 1 year to 2 years. Many institutes have B.Ed. for 1 year duration and most of the institutes have increased it to 2years. The duration is same even for offline mode of the course.
The education part is a bit theoretical and yogic part includes study of complete anatomy, physiology and working of human body. It includes details study of all the organs, systems, cell and tissues structures and functions. The skeletal and muscular systems of our body are also important part of this course to have better understanding of effects of yoga.
Lastly the course also includes study of elementary Sanskrit.
B.Ed. is a course dedicated for teaching profession. So, the main job options are in schools, coaching centers and junior colleges where candidates can teach Yoga and its benefits. If interested in academics, PhD holders can get job as professors in big organizations.
Interested candidates can start their own Yoga centers, physical training centers, etc. to teach Yoga.
