Difference between 'abase' and 'abbess'

'Abase' means to humiliate.

'Abbess' is a woman who is the leader of a group of nuns.


Sample Usage

eg 1. People working as clowns in a circus need to be respected rather than being abased.

eg 2. Reverent sister Patricia was chosen as the apt person to be the abbess.
