When to use has, had, have?

When to use has, had, have? This is a problem always. Whether it is in the form of written or speaking, the grammar is the same. Whenever I attend an Group discussion or a extempore, I find people making mistakes in these.

So why not a small session about the same?

Sample Usage

There are two types of usage based on the number i.e Singular or Plural.
Further, based on the 1st person, 2nd person and 3rd person, it varies.
And as usual the present and past tense verbs also vary.

Lets see a detailed description of the above, with examples.


Singular - First Person - Past Tense

Eg. I did the homework (or) I had few apples with me.


Singular - Second Person - Past Tense

Eg. You did the homework (or) you had few apples with you.


Singular - third Person - Past Tense

Eg.
he/she did the homework (or) he/she had few apples with him/her.



Singular - first Person - Present Tense

Eg. I am doing the homework
I have few apples with me


Singular - second Person - Present Tense

Eg. you are doing the homework
you have few apples with you

Singular - third Person - Present Tense

Eg. He/She is doing the homework.
He/she has few apples with him/her.



Plural - First Person - Past Tense

Eg. We did the homework (or) We have few apples with us.


Plural - Second Person - Past Tense

Eg. You did the homework (or) you had few apples with you (Here you refers to many people like addressing to a group of

students.

Plural - third Person - Past Tense

Eg. They did the homework (or) They had few apples with them.
he/she did the homework (or) he/she had few apples with him/her.
