People often confuse with skill and talent. It is to be noted that they are not the same things.

Skill - Skill is a noun which means to understand and know the method or way to do any work. It basically means the understanding of how to perform any work in a very good manner. It can be something very general to something very extraordinary too. If you know how to do even small things, in a perfect way, you ought to have a skill to do that very small or general type of work.

Talent - Talent is not same as skill. I said that skill is a word meaning the way to do any work. But talent is a bit different. Talent is also an understanding of how to do something in a good manner, but it mostly or always ought to be a special thing or work. It is to be noted that a talent is always a skill but a skill is not always a talent.
