The words Corps and corpse are both pronounced in a similar manner and sound the same, but have different meanings.

The word Corps is a noun.
Meanings: group; unit; body. It generally refers to a special group such as of the military.

The word corpse is a noun.
Meanings: dead body; cadaver. It is used in reference to the body of a human being, whereas the dead body of an animal is called a carcass.
