Usage:

1) Situation: In the Dining Hall, volume of the T.V. is kept very high.

Father to child: It is okay if the T.V. is on, but the volume is getting on my nerves.

2) Situation: Wife and husband go for shopping. Husband gets irritated over the time taken for shopping.

Husband to wife : It is getting on my nerves when you take so long to finish your shopping.
