1.1 Discuss Fayol's principles of management and indicate their significance in effective management of libraries and information centres.

1.2 The chief objective of book selection is "to provide the right book to the right reader at the right time". Elaborate the book selection principles involved in this statement.
2.1 Describe the components of a circulation system. Discuss the factors to be considered for planning circulation process in an academic library.

2.2 Discuss various kinds of library binding. List the main features of library binding specifications.
3.1 Define the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM). How is TQM implemented in a library and information centre environment?

3.2 Examine various problems of acquisition work with special reference to Indian libraries.
4.1 What is financial management? Discuss the sources of library finance for a public library.

4.2 List the different methods of preparing library budgets. Explain the features of Zero-based Budgeting (ZBB) with suitable examples.
