1. Define radiation intensity.

2. Define directivity.

3. Define isotropic radiator.

4. What is pattern multiplication?

5. Give an application of loop antenna.

6. Give the value for radiation resistence of a center fed half wave dipole.

7. Name and sketch and antenna which provides circularly polarized waves.

8. Name and draw a frequency ndependent antenna.

9. Define gyro frequency.

10. Define criticle frequency

11 (i) Derive the expression for far fields due to loop antenna.

(ii) Write notes on helical antenna

12 (a) Explain (i) Radiation pattern (ii) Effective aperture (iii) polarization (iv) beam solid angle.

(b) Derive the expression for far fields and radiation resistence of a dipole antenna

13 (a) Derive the expression for directions of pattern maxima,minima and beam width of major lobe for an end -fire array .Make suitable assumptions

14 (a) Expain about the (i) Yagi- Uda antenna

(ii) Reflector antennas and their feed systems.

(b) Expalin a technique each to measure the antenna gain and impedence.

15. (a) Explain in detail about ionospheric propagation.

(b) Explain (i) Ground wave propagation.
