1. Mention and discuss the basic features that characterise a "good" evaluation tool. 2. What is diagnostic testing? In what way is it helpful to teachers/students in improving classroom teaching / learning? 3. Discuss the use of "observation" as a technique for evaluating non-scholastic aspects of student behaviour. How should the teacher ensure the reliability and validity of observation? 4. Prepare a good marking scheme for the annual examination in your subject of teaching. 5. Differentiate between Absolute and Comparative grading. 6. Discuss use, advantages and disadvantages of oral tests. 7. Develop outhne of a scheme of comprehensive evaluation for students of Secondary Education. 8. Differentiate between Mean, Median and Mode and their interpretation. 9. Discuss how coefficient of correlation is misinterpreted. 10. Differentiate between grading and numerical marking. 11. Choose a teaching unit of the subject of your choice. Give examples (2 each) of different types of assignments you would give to your students of Class IX. What actions as follow-up of these assignments will you take?
