(b) Explain how negative numbers are represented. Give example.
4. (a) Explain Binary counter with a diagram and waveform.
(b) Explain Static and Dynamic RAM.
5. (a) Discuss control registers.
(b) Explain Instruction cycle and Execution cycle with a neat diagram.
6. (a) Explain I/O interface with a neat diagram.
(b) Explain DMA mode of data transfer.
7. (a) Simplify using Karnaugh map f(w,x,y,z)=E(0,2,8,9,11,14,15) .
(b) Explain how expressions are simplified using
POS form.
8. (a) Write short notes on :
(i) ROM
(ii) Magnetic tape.
(b) Explain the construction of ALU.
