2. "A stranger to consideration can not sue " -
Explain. State the exceptions to the said rules and point out the difference between the Indian and the English law.
3."An offer must be distinguished from aquotation or invitation to treat ". - Discuss.Distinguish between general offer and standingoffer.
4.Enumerate the circumstances in which mistakevitiates a contract.
5."Agreements in restraint of legal proceedingsare void" - Explain and state the exceptions,if any.
6. What is meant by novation ? How is it effected ? What is the effect of novation uponthe liability of parties ?
7.State the circumstances under which a contractis discharged by impossibility of performance.
8.Distinguish between liquidated damages andpenalty. What are the rules governing theassessment of damages on a breach ofcontract ?
