SECTION - I
1.a)Explain Compton effect and how it is experimentally verified.[Marks 6]

2.a)What is magnetostriction effect? Explain magnetostriction oscillator with transistorised circuit diagram.[Marks 4]
b)Describe dual nature of matter.Derive an expression for the De Broglie wavelength.[Marks 4]
c)Determine the wavelength of primary X-ray which are scattered by graphite at an angle of 60 degrees in Compton scattering The wavelength of scattered X-ray is 2.54*10^-11m.
