Paper I - BIOLOGY OF INVERTEBRATES AND CELL BIOLOGY

SECTION A
(PROTOZOA - HELMINTHES)
1. (a) Give a detailed account on coral reef formation. (18)
Or
(b) Describe in detail the reproduction and development in Obelia.
2. Write short notes on any TWO of the following: (8 + 8 = 16)
(a) Sporozoa (b) Polystomella
(c) Canal system (d) Cercaria.
SECTION B
(ANNELIDA - HEMICHORDATA)
3. (a) Describe the pearl formation in mollusca. (18)
Or
(b) Give a detailed account of coelom and coelomoducts in Annelida.
4. Write short notes on any TWO of the following: (8 + 8 = 16)
(a) Trochophore (b) Mantle in mollusca
(c) Glochidium (e) Torsion in gastropoda.

(CELL BIOLOGY)
5. (a) Describe the various techniques for the study of animal cells. (16)
